A good start for small and vulnerable piglets!
RescueMilk
This milk is specifcally formulated to fully replace or
supplement sow’s milk, by meeting the energy and
protein requirements of the piglet. Piglet mortality
will, therefore, decrease, and average daily gain from
birth to weaning will improve. Also, RescueMilk
stimulates the development of the piglet’s gastro-
intestinal tract. This is important to prevent the
post weaning dip in feed intake and body weight.
RescueMilk contains very well digestible
ingredients, such as blood plasma with
immunoglobulins and a highly digestible vegetable
protein source. The product is acidifed to improve
the shelf life. Piglets receive RescueMilk until they
weigh approximately 5 kg.
RescueDeck
The RescueDeck is an incubator to raise weak or
excess piglets. In the RescueDeck, these vulnerable
piglets obtain a high feed intake and a well
developed immune system. Each RescueDeck
houses 12 piglets from day 3 after birth up to
weaning. In the RescueDeck, the young piglets
receive, RescueMilk. It is supplied in patented
plastic cups with nipple drinkers, the RescueCups.
Each RescueDeck has two RescueCups to supply
milk, and one for drinking water. The nipple drinker
allows for easy uptake with minimal spilling.
RescuePig is an economically sound system that helps to
diminish piglet mortality and to improve piglet growth.
The strong increase in live born piglets per litter over the
past years necessitates a concept to deal with vulnerable
piglets. Especially in large litters, piglets are born with a
low birth weight and few body energy reserves. With the
RescuePig concept, RescueMilk is offered to these young
and vulnerable piglets.
There are three ways to provide this Milk:
- Via the RescueDeck;
- By hand, in the farrowing pen;
- Via the RescueCup in the farrowing pen.
