All our staff have commented on the lovely smell of the Neopigg Go! We get good feed intakes in the farrowing crates compared to other prestarters we have tried, which is definitely part of the success of the product. Our piglets look good for being fed the diet, particularly in the crates. They have a bloom about them. And at weaning, our piglets that have been on Neopigg Go! for two weeks are consistently a third of a kilo heavier at weaning then they were on the old prestarter. We offer a bit more Neopigg Go! in the trough in the weaning accommodation to help ease the stress around weaning.
As we move them from the first stage of the post-weaning period to the second stage, at four weeks old, we are getting an extra 2kg on them. This is approximately a 10% increase in bodyweight. We don’t see piglets refusing to eat in the first few days post-weaning or see any hairy pigs. This must at least be partially due to feeding Neopigg Go! Overall, we are incredibly pleased with how consistently well the product is performing.
