EQUALISER PROVIDES >
  • A combination of several different buffering agents to ensure maximum and consistent buffering capacity
  • The best buffering capacity - gram for gram
  • An appetising buffer, thanks to the added flavour, Equaliser improves intake when wet, unpalatable silages are an issue
  • Equaliser outperforms the buffering capacity of its competitors (more than 2.5 times the strength of sodium bicarbonate)
BENEFITS >
By stabilising the rumen, Equaliser allows the rumen microbes to flourish, therefore encouraging proper balanced digestion.
This leads to:
  • Improved digestion and dry matter intakes
  • Improved milk yield
  • Improved butter fat
WHEN TO USE >
Equaliser is particularly effective in the following situations:
  • High concentrate diets - particularly twice daily feeding
  • High cereal diets - especially finely processed
  • Wet, acidic silage
  • Lush grazing

I test silage every six weeks and if it’s wet or too easily fermentable then straw and the rumen buffer Equaliser is added. Last winter the cows had to switch to a very ‘soft’ fermentable silage that would have put the acid balance at real risk.`

So we added Equaliser at a rate of 150g/cow/day, and a cost of 7.5p/cow/day. This helped avoid any digestive upsets and improved digestibility of the diet. We also avoided any dips in milk quality. In fact, Equaliser did exactly what I wanted. It completely eliminated cud balls and a dip in butterfats.
